Pfister, Benedict J. Passed away peacefully on August 26, 2010 in Rio Rancho New Mexico. He was 90 years old. He was a native of Elm Grove, Milwaukee who had moved to New Mexico in 2006. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy and very special friend Doris Schmidt. He is survived by his sons Gregory (Elizabeth) Pfister and Jeffrey (Sharon) Pfister; grandchildren Benjamin Pfister, Meghan and Andrew Corona; great-grandchilden Kierra, William, Gabriel, Olivia, and Joseph. He was a dedicated husband, father and companion who always found his reward in helping those around him. He had a natural warmth and friendship that made him make friends easily. His life was highlighted serving as an officer in the Whitefish Bay Police department for 27 years. Ben was also a veteran of WWII, serving as a B-24 pilot. His service to this country during that time continued to be some of the proudest moments throughout the rest of his life. Ben was a member of the VFW, American Legion, NRA and Eight Air Force Historical Society. Mass will be held in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. His ashes will be sent to Milwaukee for burial at a still undetermined date.
