James Roberts , 35, a student instructor at the University of Wyoming and a former Sheridanite, died Monday in Laramie. He was born Nov. 2, 1941 in Sheridan. He attended Sheridan schools and while in high school served as president of the high school rodeo club. He attended the Air Force Academy and served as a pilot during the Vietnam conflict.
Survivors include two sons, James and Pat Lusk; his father, Clyde Roberts, Sheridan; two brothers, Clyde, with the Air Force in Germany, and Aaron, Sheridan; his grandmother, Sally Roberts, Fredericksburg, Va.
He was preceded in death by his mother who died in 1954.
The body was taken to Colorado for Cremation. Memorial services will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, at Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Clark officiating. Plot owned by Clyde Roberts according to cemetery records.
