Mrs. Alford was born September 19, 1927 in Horry County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Hal and Nettie Rabon. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine View Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Alford are her children, Howard Tracy Alford and his wife, Carlyene, of Galivants Ferry, Russell M. Alford and his wife, Mary, of Milwaukee and Patsy Johnson and her husband, Waylon, of Galivants Ferry; her grandchildren, Arnal Johnson and his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Luke, Madison, and Bryce and Sophia Chestnut and her husband, Tyson, and their children, Hunter and Hanna; five other grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2007, at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lonnie Johnson and the Rev. Gordon Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Rehoboth United Methodist Church Cemetary, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2007, at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
