Blanche Adelia Mooney was bor November 8, 1910 in Grand Island, NE to Jed A. & Katherine L. (Scott) Mooney and died May 14, 1960 at the home of her parents in Mason City, NE at the age of 49 years, 6 months, & 6 days.
At the age of 7 years, she moved with her family from Mayflower, NE to Mason City where she attended school, graduating high school in 1930.
In 1932, she married Ray Clies. This marriage ended in his death just 3 short months.
On August 16, 1934, she was united in marriage to Carl Joseph Bernert in Norton, Kansas. To this union 3 children were born, Clara Julia who died in infancy, Carl Joseph who is serving in the Air Force and stationed in Stuttgurt, Germany, and Cornelia who is still at home.
She was baptized in childhood in the Methodist church, but since her marriage has attended the Baptist church. Her married life was spent on a farm in the Basin Community south of Mason City.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husban, son, Carl daughter, Cornelia, one new grandaughter, born May 10,
1960, her praents, one uncle Jay A. Mooney, one sister Verdna & Erroll Schue of Los Altos CA, two brothers, Jed H. & Glennie Mooney of Mason City, Jay W. & Leah Mooney of Sunnyvale CA
She is preceded in deathe by two sisters Mae & Violet, and one daughter.
Funeral services were held May 17, at Mason City Baptist church Burial was in the Mason City Cemetery with Peterson funeral home in charge of arrangments.
Pallbearers were Anton Maack, Clemet Zimmer, Herbert Mowery, Harold Hawkins, Walt Young, & Dan Foley.
