Kenneth B. Talley, 84, of Monett, died at 12:03 a.m. Saturday at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield after a short illness. Mr. Talley was born August 29, 1907, at Gallatin, the son of Lee A. Talley and Mattie Pike Talley. He moved to Monett in 1971 from Pierce City. He was a farmer, retiring in 1971. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 334, AF&AM, both at Breckenridge. He married Lela Belle Trusty on September 19, 1932, at Chillicothe and she survives. Additional survivors include two brothers, Robert Talley of Clinton and Earl Talley of Seal Beach, California. Funeral services were held at 2p.m. today at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, with Rev. Glen Dixon officiating. Burial was in the Monett IOOF Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
