Mrs. Alice Jane Ream, 90, Markleton RD 1, died July 29 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Nov. 13, 1887, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, she was a daughter of Henry and Rachel (McClintock) Younkin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Ream, in 1958 and by two sons and two daughters. Surviving are three sons, Charles and Ray Ream, both of Markleton RD 1; Myrl of Hershey; one daughter, Mrs. Faye Romesburg, Markleton RD 1; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clark Younkin, Rockwood RD 1; Charles Younkin, Somerset RD 4; and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Snyder, Berlin, and Mrs. Minnie Barkman, Rockwood RD 1. She was a member of the Kingwood Church of God and a charter member of the Kingwood Rebekah Lodge. Friends are being received at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, where funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Stanley Darrah officiating. Interment will be made in the Kingwood IOOF Cemetery.
