Constance Verna (Scherer) Steiger was born on December 31, 1930 and passed away at Centralia Providence Hospital on Tuesday August 24th. She was preceded in death by her parents Vern and Lillian Scherer and her brother Jerry Scherer.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Steiger at the family home, one sister Carolyn Murray of Tumwater, WA, daughter Cindy (Dennis) Parker, Teresa (Bob) Duncan, grandchildren Tyler, Anna, Cody and Sarah, great grandchildren Elias, Ezra, Jonas and Paige, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie graduated "Top Ten" from Chehalis High School in 1949. She sold Avon for 40 years. She was a member of the Boistfort Church and past Beacon Society, Garden Club, Girl Scout leader and Sunday School teacher.
She enjoyed supporting her husband's Boistfort Lions Club as well as the Fuchsia Fancier Club. She will be remembered being anyone's friend, making new friends and visiting. She prided herself in giving gifts, gardening and painting. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as trips to the beach with her husband.
There will be a private family burial on Saturday, August 28th prior to a public memorial service at Boistfort Community Church at 11:00am.
