ELM City - Lucy Ann Jordan, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 21,1996.
She was born on November 21, 1911 in Nash County to the late William R. and Cora Pridgen Joyner. She was married to Herman Jordan of the residence. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving: in addition to her husband; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Athena Dawes of Hilton Head, S.C. and Leon and Vivian Jordan; two daughters and sons-in-law Connie and Deleon Parker Rocky Mount and Ann and Johnny Baines of Rocky Mount , two sisters, Betty Narron and Mattie Denton both of Rocky Mount; also 15 grandchildren and I I great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held I I am. Monday, Sept. 23 at Johnson. Funeral Chapel on Sunset Avenue with the Rev. Dennis Ball. Burial will follow at Millbranch Cemetery. .
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
