Hanson Parsons, son of Arthur Monroe Parsons and Goldie Bernice Leadbetter, on
22 October 1966 in Brunswick, Maine, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church by the
Rev. Edward W. Simonsen. She died in Virginia on 9 August 1980. Nancy Ruth Skofield
served in the WAVES, U.S. Navy, from May 1949 to 20 July 1950. She requested a
discharge because of her marriage. In a letter to Hobart O. Skofield from Stockton
Springs, Maine, in December 1976 she writes: "(my husband) gave up working for the
Bangor Daily last March when he was elected Town Clerk - it's fun job and keeps him
active. He is Registrar of Voters and a Notary Public also."
