Carl Alf Bjork was born as Carl Alf Johanesson in Fjärås/ Halland, Sweden. His parents were Johan Martin Johanesson and Hilda Josefinas Andersdotter. The family changed their name to Bjork when they encountered difficulty getting the correct paycheck, as there were many with exactly the same name and no way to differentiate one from the other.

Carl Alf became Carl Alf Bjork, dropping the Johanesson entirely. His parents did the same. His father became John Martin Bjork. His mother became Hilda Josephine Anderson Bjork.

Carl Alf married Myrtle Fulda. They had two sons:

Hugo Fulda Bjork and Richard C. Bjork.

It is possible that Carl Alf is buried in the same burial space as his wife who preceded him in death. Many veterans did so and this is a veteran's grave site. The practice was very common at one time. I do not know which of them served, or if both served. Myrtle died first and is defintely occupying the grave.
