Carolyn J. Allen, 55, of 798 E. Brooks St, died at 4:48 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 1998, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center. Born September 21, 1942 in Fulton County to Leo and Irma Williamson Fishel, she married Robert J. Allen Jr, Augut 4, 1990 in Galesburg. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Beth Nelson of Galesburg and Christina Gadberry of Abingdon; one brother, Robert Fishel of Abingdon; and here grandchildren. She worked as a driver at Black's Transportation in Beardstown for several years. There will be no services. Cremation will be accorded and burial of ashes will be in Bushnell Cemetery.
