Mary Katherine Mangelsen was born March 11, 1891 to Christopher and Mary Windolph Mangelsen at Grand Island and passed away September 13, 1972 at Lakewood, Colorado.

She moved with her family to the Gage Valley community as a teenager & was married in 1811 [sic] and went to Douglas, Wyo., to take a homestead in 1915. In 1946 they moved to Loveland, Colo., but left there and went to the west coast because of Mr. Farlee's ill health. After his death in 1968 she made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Eberhart in Denver.

She is survived by five sons, Martin of Salem, Ore., Forrest of Denver, Colo., Victor of Moberly, Mo., Dale of Texarkana, Tex., and Delbert of Moscow, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Turner of Fremont, Calif., and Mrs. Catherine L. Eberhart of Denver; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Barth of Lancaster, Calif., and Mrs. Rose Lautenschlager of Alliance; three brothers, Oscar Mangelsen of Fullerton, John Mangelsen of Clarks and Albert Mangelsen of Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Paul, Charles and Rudolf Mangelsen.
