Dec 1, 1915, The Republican:
Last Wednesday evening at the home of the bride's mother Mrs. Mary Browning, north of this city, occurred the marriage of Miss Bertha V. Browning and Mr. George R. Ashby. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C.E. Coggeshall, of the First Methodist church of this city, before a few of the immediate relatives.

This excellent young couple enjoy the friendship and esteem of the residents throughout the community. The groom is a prosperous young farmer and recently bought land near the Browning place. The couple will make their home with Mrs. Browning this winter and next spring will move onto their own farm.

The Republican joins with their friends in extending congratulations and wishing them prosperity and happiness throughout the years to come.
