Eric Robert Adelberg, a free-spirited 19 year-old, passed away on August 24, 2010.
Born in Greenville, SC, Eric, sometimes known as "Hashmere" was a son of Jeff Adelberg and Jacqueline Naylor-Adelberg. Eric was employed with Brioso Fresh Pasta. Eric had a gentle soul, was kind, creative and was a brilliant observer of the human condition. He was an avid drummer, especially enjoying Smashing Pumpkins and Chili Peppers.
Including his parents, Eric is survived by his brother, Jacob Adelberg of Seneca, SC; his sister, Sophie Adelberg of Clemson, SC; grandparents, Bruce and Judith Adelberg of Salem, SC and Jacqueline Barbato and her husband, Bill, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly living in North Brunswick, NJ. Eric was preceded in death by his grandfather, Farrington Naylor.
A Celebration Service honoring Eric's life will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 4:00PM at Ramsey Creek Preserve, Westminster, SC with Peter Cohen officiating. Please do not rely on GPS for directions to The Preserve, however, visit www.memorialecosystems.com for precise directions.
The family respectfully asks that memorials be made to Outward Bound Expeditions for At-Risk Youth, 2946 Northern Boulevard, Long Island City, New York 11101.
