GERTRUDE A. McATEE, 78, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at home. Born July 20, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Wilma Schoenfeld Linnemeier. She was a waitress at VFW Post 857 and had also worked for Five Points and the Venice Restaurants. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church, VFW Post 857 and American Legion Post 499.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan K. Langas of Fort Wayne; brother, Wayne Linnemeier of Cedar Hill, Texas; grandson, J.B. Langas of Fort Wayne; and stepmother, Mary Linnemeier of Fort Wayne.
Memorial Service is 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St., with visitation from 4 to 5:30 p.m. with Pastor Frederick Hasecke officiating.
