ARCHIE DEAN LILLARD

Graveside services for Archie Dean Lillard, 77, of Gainesville, are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at the New Hope Cemetery with the Reverends Mark Loewen and Hollis Parsons officiating.

He was born May 1, 1931 to George and Julia Newton Lillard in Gainesville. He served in the U.S. Army and ran Archie's Shell Station on California Street for many years. He was a friend of Bill W.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law; Danny and Debbie Lillard of Ft. Worth, and Rhett and Sammi Martinez of Houston, brother Douglas Lillard of Gainesville, sisters Irene Bryant of Gainesville, Marcelle Rogers of Gainesville, and Peggy Fogel of Mesquite, grandsons Ryan and Clayton Lillard, great-grandchildren Chance and Kaegan Lillard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers J.W. Lillard and Kenneth Lillard, and sisters Betty Lillard Duke and Delsie Lillard

Visitation is set for 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be family members.
