George Leon "Don" Smith Sr., 69, of St. Augustine, died Feb. 17, 2005, at his home. He was born in St. Augustine, and was a lifelong resident. He was a LP Gas technician. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Craig Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Joe Foster, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Craig Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Smith; daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Smith; two sons, George Leon Smith Jr. and William W. Smith; sister, Susie Virginia Kinlaw; one brother, Ira Green; all of St. Augustine.
Grandchildren, George L. Smith III, Drew Edward Smith, Cassie Lynn Smith, William Wayne Smith Jr., Melissa Nicole Smith, Crystal Ann Hussey and Kari Lee Hussey.
