Mrs. Landers was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Cowden, the daughter of Thurman and
LuluBell Allsop Wiley. She worked at Hi Flier Kite Factory. She was also a
caregiver to her youngest son, Gary , who was a quadriplegic fro more than 20
years before he passed away. She married William Lane Landers on Dec. 5, 1932 in
Shelbyville. He preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1979.
Surviving are her children, Clara Belle Mann and her husband Bobbie of Decatur;
Delores Buckner of Decatur; AZ; Robert D. Landers and wife Sue of Decatur; Wilma
May Patient of Decatur; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons, Vern, Delbert and
Gary Landers.
After the death of her youngest son, Waunetta was ready to meet her maker.
She will be missed by many sisters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and scores
of friends and neighbors.
