VA Infantry. he was captured at Cumberland Gap on Sept. 9, 1863 (Prisoner of War) and was taken to Camp Douglas, Chicago, Illinois, received at Camp Douglas on sept. 26, 1863 and discharged from Camp Douglas on June 15, 1865.
