Shalmaneser was our beloved cat, who was more like a dog. He followed the kids around everywhere and adored attention from strangers. His favourite thing to do was go to the swimming pool where people would be sunbathing and jump on them, demanding to be petted. Everyone loved him. He was a black and white "tuxedo cat" that was given to us when his first family had to move to Kansas. He was a devoted pet and we miss him. Sadly, he did not live as long a life as he could have, due to renal failure.
