Dewitt died at the home of his daughter, Addie Vanhorn of Louisa.
Surviving are six daughters, Karen Ekers, Anna Vanhorn and Dorothy Jordan, all of Ashland, Rose Combs of Rt. 4, Louisa, Virginia Ball of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Bernice Workman of Star Rt. Louisa; a son, Dewitt Diamond Jr., of Star Rt. Louisa; 49 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Miller Funeral Home and burial was in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
