One of 6 daughters of Sam E and Maggie (Campbell) Harwell. I have seen my mother's notations of "Aunt Madge" and through the years, the US Census listed her as Maggie, Madge and headstone Maggie Lou, named after their mother Mary Marguerite "Maggie" (Campbell) Harwell.

Only 2 of the girls left the farm and married much to 'daddy Sam's' dismay. He actually turned against them, and they were Maggie's sisters Lillian and my grandmother; Sarah "Sally" Ann.!! He never wanted any of them to leave or marry!
The girls were very well educated, as teachers, musicians and looked after their parents and the farm!
