After retiring from the motel industry at age 62, Jimmy enjoyed spending his winters as a snowbird, driving his RV down to Arizona every year. He enjoyed the RV life there and loved to boondock out in the desert. Jim also enjoyed buying and selling cars as a profitable hobby.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of Mary Jane Bentley; and also survived by his sons, David Dartt (Carla) and Scott Bentley (Janet); and daughters, Rhonda Bentley and Karen Ingram (Bill); his adored dog, Kate; and Jim also had a special relationship with his cousin, Arlene Thompson of West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Dean Bentley; sister, Shirley Myers.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98684 on Thurs., March 15, 2018 at 12:30 p.m.
