PIONEER KANSAN DIES
George W. Hughes, 76, 3704 Armstrong, died Monday. He was born in Bedford, Ind., came to Kansas many years ago and moved here from Kingman county 11 years ago. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Mr. Hughes is survived by his widow and the following children: Mr. Inez Stanton and Robert W. Hughes, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Nina Chandler, Denver; Mrs. Agnes Blake, Huntington Park, Cal.; Guy W. Hughes, 1510 Pennsylvania; Mrs. Effie Armstrong, 3010 East Twenty-first, and Miss Ida Hughes, at home. Cochran-Hammon Funeral home is in charge.
