Funerals
A. J. Meloan
A. J. Meloan Sr., father of A. J. (Andy) Meloan Jr., of the YMCA staff here died in Wichita at the home of a son, Herbert Meloan. Mr. Meloan, formerly a resident of Hutchinson, died during the night, according to word received here, but the death wasn't discovered until morning.
Survivors in addition to the son here and the one in Wichita include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Middleton, Chicago, and a third son, Lyter Meloan, in the army, stationed at Ft. Sheridan.

Funeral service for A. J. Meloan will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Broadway funeral chapel in Wichita. His sons, A. J. Meloan, Jr., of Hutchinson, and Lyter Meloan who is stationed in Virginia with the army air corps, and his daughter, Mrs. Vernon Middleton of Chicago will all attend the funeral.
