Mrs. Laura Ann Deese, 69, the mother of Mrs. Elva McDaniel of Tuscaloosa, died Friday morning at a Bessemer hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grant's Creek Baptist Church with burial in Grant's Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Deese was a native of Tuscaloosa. She was a resident of Mobile and visiting in Bessemer at the time of her death.
Survivors include three other daughters, Mrs. Stella Porter of Detroit, Mrs. Nettie Spence of Mobile and Mrs. Willie Allen of Bessemer; three sons, Harold E. Deese and James T. Deese of Phoenix, Ariz., and Victor E. Deese of Mobile; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
