Sydney Eugenia Alexander, age 83, passed away on August 29, 2010 at her residence, Wiggins. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Perkinston cemetery.

Miss Alexander was a native of Perkinston, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Linnie W. and Clark J. Alexander, and a brother, Clark Henry Alexander.

She taught English for 29 years at Perkinston Jr. College, retiring in 1986 and was a member of First Baptist Church, Wiggins. She had many interests, including the theatre, music, and reading and had a wide circle of friends, always ready to lend a helping hand. She doted on her nephews and her niece, and will be greatly missed.

Miss Alexander is survived by her nephew, Michael C. Alexander, and his wife, Marsha; great-nephew, James, and his wife, Blaire; great-great-niece, Carlei; great-niece, Michelle Alexander; and a sister-in-law, Billie S. Alexander.
