Deacon Joseph's and John Andrew Isense's who was killed by lightening. Joseph and Tilley Mirrick, were under the tree when it was struck by lightening; they were both knocked down. Deacon Joseph Mirrick remained speechless several days. The British Dragoon Isense was some 20 feet from the tree, when he was killed, having taken shelter from the storm under a cock of hay.
