cently concluded to try farming with the
hope that his health would be benefitted.
He had just secured the necessary im-
plements and moved on to a farm ten
miles south of the city. For several
years Mr. Chandler lived in the city.
He was in the employ of George H. Evans,
contractor. He was one of the active
Christian workers in the United Presby-
terian church. He leaves a wife and a
child.
The funeral was held at his late
home south of the city at 1 o'clock this
afternoon, Fev. M. F. McKirahan offi-
ciating.
