ADA, July 1 - Funeral of Allen Laporte, 68, farmer who died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in his home a half-mile north of Maysville, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the local Lutheran church. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Ada.

Laporte, who was born in Hardin-co and lived in this area most of his life, died of heart disease after a brief illness. He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Opal Chenney, of Ada; Mrs. Audrey Weaver, of near Columbus Grove and a half-brother, William Latimore, of Ostego, Mich.

Laporte's body was taken from the Lantz funeral home to the residence Thursday afternoon.
