CONWAY -- Ben Tillman Fowler, 87, of Cedar Lane died Friday, Aug. 16, 1996 at Kingston Nursing Center after an illness.

He was born in Loris, a son of the late Henry J. and Ellen Grainger Fowler.

Mr. Fowler attended Union United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Stanley Fowler; a daughter, Linda F. Foster of Myrtle Beach; four sisters, Dora Cox and Lettie Lee, both of Loris, Clara B. King of Conway, and Bessie Stanley of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Horry County Council on Aging, 2105 N. Main St., Conway 29526.
