He was born in Loris, a son of the late Henry J. and Ellen Grainger Fowler.
Mr. Fowler attended Union United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Stanley Fowler; a daughter, Linda F. Foster of Myrtle Beach; four sisters, Dora Cox and Lettie Lee, both of Loris, Clara B. King of Conway, and Bessie Stanley of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel. Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
