Lexington - Services for Luther "LB" Bearden Roof Jr. will be held Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bob Helton officiating, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Mr. Roof passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. He was the son of the late Luther Bearden Roof Sr. and Alice Alberta Harmon. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, a retired carpenter, and had served in the U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 1237 Calks Ferry Road, Lexington, SC 29073. He was survived by his wife, Lois K. Roof; sons, Edwin Roof (Denise), Danny Roof (Mary); daughter, Gale McCartha (Don), grandchildren, Jason Roof, Paul McCartha (Ashley), Jessica Johnson (David), Allison Taylor (Allen), Fallon Simmons (Chip), great-grandchildren, Peyton Johnson and Cooper Simmons, brothers, George W.
