ELIJAH H. PERRY
Mr. Elijah H. Perry died at his home in southwest Chariton on Sunday, March 28, 1909, at the age of 81 years, after an illness of six months with lung trouble.
Brief funeral services, conducted by Rev. Lathrop, of the M. E. church, were held at the family residence on Tuesday evening at five o'clock, and on Wednesday the remains were taken to Belinda for interment in the Strong cemetery.
Deceased was born in Tennessee in November, 1828. The family has resided in Chariton for several years. Mr. Perry is survived by his wife and several grown children, who will have the sympathy of the community in their grief.
