John A Blew was the son of William and Catherine Holman (Holeman) Blew. John married Frances in Grundy County, Missouri, on the 25th of December in the year of 1860.
"He was married twice.
His first wife was Frances Lurane Wisdom Blew. His second wife was a brief marriage that ended in divorce. There were no children. He had six children with Lurane."

DIED--At his residence in Junction City, Oregon, August 30, 1894, John Blew, aged 63 years, 4 months and 5 days.
The remains were buried in the Harrisburg cemetery yesterday under the auspices of the Junction I.O.O.F. lodge, of which the deceased was a respected member.
Mr. Blew was on of the early pioneers of Oregon.
