David William Huard who was born at Red Cross, Saskatchewan on June 27, 1927 to Damase and Rose Huard. Dave passed away in the Lloydminster hospital on April 10, 2009 at the age of 81. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret and his 10 children: Daryl (Brenda) of Calgary, Bernice of Maple Ridge, Robert (Linda) of Waseca, Vernon (Barb) of Lloydminster, Maurice (Hillary) of Edmonton, Greg of Turtleford, Ken (Mikey) of Paradise Hill, Joe of Maidstone, Marie (Les Berg) of Spruce Grove and Teresa (Paul Tyschuk) of Stoney Plain. He was the very proud grandfather of 26 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Marie Ross and Lorna Cameron. He is survived by his sisters; Dorothy Clark of Calgary, Hilda Demeria of Saskatoon, Shirley (Dan) Fedechko of Vermilion and his brothers Gerald (Janie) of Waseca and Ray (Eileen) of Lloydminster.
Dave grew up on the farm north of Waseca. He was the third child of eight children and the eldest son. He married Margaret LaHaye in 1954 and they settled down in Maidstone, Saskatchewan. There Dave worked for Imperial Oil for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. They moved to Lloydminster in 2005.
Dave loved camping, fishing and woodworking and passed that love on to many of his children and grandchildren. He had a fine singing voice and a winning way with cards as well as people
