Elizabeth was the daughter of Gen. Andrew Porter. She married Robert Parker on March 16, 1789. They had four sons and two daughters and lived on Short Street. Their daughter Eliza married Robert Smith Todd. Elizabeth Parker was the maternal grandmother of Mary Ann (Todd) Lincoln.

Their son John married Jane Logan Allen.
