Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Lute will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Nazarene Church. The Rev. Denny G. Owens will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. (Further funeral details omitted here).

Mrs. Lute, a former resident of Grand Island and Aurora, died Thursday at the home of a son, Wesley, in La Puente, Calif. She had been ill for a long time. She was born Aug. 29, 1889, in Missouri to Robert and Elmira Clark Black. She was raised in Missouri and Oklahoma. She and John W. Lute were married in Oklahoma in 1913 and came to Nebraska the following year. They moved to Grand Island in 1918. After Mr. Lute died in 1929, Mrs. Lute made her home here and in Aurora. She was a member of the Nazarene Church, Grand Island.

She is survived by six sons, Wesley of La Puente, Lewis and Homer of Grand Island, Granville of Lake Worth, Fla., Robert of Fremont and John of San Bernadino, Calif; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchldren. Her husband, a daughter, six brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Please note the obit in the newspaper was wrong she was born to Robert A. Black and Samantha Jane Clark Black. Elmira was the first name of her mother in law.
