Virginia Miller, age 90, of Miller Lane, Canan Station, Altoona, died Monday, September 6, 2010 at Valley View Home, Altoona. Born February 10, 1920 in Somerset, a daughter of the late Michael and Ella Mae (Beegle) Coons. She married Kenneth R. Miller, Sr. on Oct. 21, 1939. He preceded her in death July 20, 1987.

Survived by 2 sons: Kenneth R., Jr. (wife Linda) of Duncansville and Gary L. (wife Trudy) of Juniata Gap, Altoona; a brother Patrick of Texas; a sister Mary Krause of Somerset; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a son Ronald L., a brother Paul and a sister Velma.

Virginia was a member of Canan Station Mennonite Church, the Ladies' Shrine – Jobel Court #11, Senior Citizens and AARP. She was a past member of Eldorado Kiwanis.

She enjoyed crocheting.

Friends will be received on Thurs., Sept. 9, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm and on Fri., Sept. 10 from 10am until the 11am services, officiated by Pastor Jack Styer, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home, 1218 4th Ave., Duncansville. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.

Memorials may be made to the Jaffa Shrine (PO Box 1984, Altoona, PA 16603), Canan Station Mennonite Church (455 Burns Ave., Altoona, PA 16601) or Southern Care Hospice (820 E. Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673).
