Jesse Emmet Crockett was the second son of William Henry Crockett and Elizabeth Musselman. He was an inventor with several significant inventions relevant to the oil industry. He was a lifetime member of the Chartered Institute of American Inventors in recognition of these inventions. Jesse married Dora Jackson on March 5, 1912 in Vinton, LA and they had five children...William Emmet, Howard Perry, Stanley Theodore, Elizabeth Dora, and Van David Crockett.

Funeral Services Held Tuesday for J.E. Crockett

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Green-Kleinegger Funeral Home for J.E. Crocket who died Sunday afternoon at his home on South College Street, after an illness of three years. Rev. Vernon G. Miles officiated and the interment was in the Minden cemetery.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Dora Crockett, four sons, W.E. Crockett and Stanley Crockett of Houston, Texas, Howard Crockett of Edinburg, Texas, Van David Crockett of Minden, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Parker of Minden, a brother M.E. Crockett of Portland, Oregon, and a sister, Mary Crockett of Los Angeles, California and six grandchildren.
