LINDSAY WOMAN IS DEAD AT 91
Ill of the infirmities of old age for several weeks, Mrs. Filena Ann Metcalf, aged 91 years and 6 months, died at 1 a. m. Sunday in the Lindsay municipal hospital. She was the widow of Ralph Metcalf, who passed away 26 years ago.
Funeral services for Mrs. Metcalf will be held at the Webb chapel in Lindsay Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, followed by interment in the Olive cemetery. She was a lifelong Methodist.
Born in Michigan, Mrs. Metcalf had been a resident of Lindsay 33 years, making her home, since her husband's passing, with her only living child, a daughter, Mrs. Myron M. Hallack. A son, Eddie Metcalf, was killed in an accident two years ago.
Besides Mrs. Hallack, Mrs. Metcalf is survived by two grandsons, State Ranger, Cecil Metcalf of Visalia and Harold Metcalf of Los Angeles; a brother, B. E. French, Santa Monica, and a sister, Mrs. Deme Laird of Michigan.
