Frank Baker, age 88, of Stow, formerly of Bradenton, Florida, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008, after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Born March 27, 1919, in Patton, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Alphonsus and Ramana (Warner) Baker, Frank was a decorated World War II Air Force veteran, and retired from the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg.

Survivors include his son, Tom (Linda); grandchildren, Christopher, Erin (Chris); step-daughter, Peggy (Jerry) McGowan; brothers, Paul and Bill; sisters, Ruth, Dolores, and Monica; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Mahan); second wife, Celia (Bunker); brothers, Charles, Jim, Bernard, Clarence, Herman; and sister, Orlena M. Baker.

Friends will be received Monday from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral service at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Final resting place will be beside his wife Helen at Standing Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W. Market St., Suite 301, Akron, OH 44313.
