Rex S. Gibson Funeral Services Held on Monday
Rex Shepperd Gibson, age 62, of Thornton passed away Saturday, September 29, 2001 in Groesbeck.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Richard Williams officiating. Burial followed in the Thornton City Cemetery.
Mr. Gibson was born May 27, 1939 in Limestone County to Shepperd and Velma (Bates) Gibson. He was a ward attendant for the Mexia State School. He was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by one daughter, Rachel Herring Gibson of Wallisville, Texas; one son, Rex Stade Gibson of San Marcos; one step-son, Brandon McHenry-Edmonds, WA; one grandchild; two brothers, David Bates Gibson of Pearland, and Glenn Pierce Gibson of Groesbeck.
