Ava Louise Holleman Dunn, 80, of Waldron, Arkansas entered into rest Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at home.
She was born on August 9, 1930 as the youngest daughter to the late Erasmus and Amanda (Hawkins) Holleman and was raised in Kenner, Arkansas.

She was a member of Haw Creek Baptist Church where she had been active in many positions over the years.

Of the many honors and awards that she received in life, she only wanted to be remembered by one, and that was being a Christian. She loved working with young people, whether it was at church, at school, 4-H Club, Girl Scouts, or sports activities in which her children or grandchildren participated.

She was the much loved wife of the late Jim D. Dunn, loving mother to Cheryl Travers and Gena Hardy and beloved grandmother to Jim Trenton Cox and Patrick (Trae) Travers III and great-grandmother to Brycen and Caleb Cox.

She is also preceded in death by her sisters Alva Holleman, Auda Holleman, Alta Mae Davis and husband Raymond, Amma Bottoms and husband J T., nephew Larry G Bottoms, niece Suzanne Nelson, and son-in-law Rick Hardy.

She is further survived by her brother, Herman Holleman and wife Daphine of Parks; sister, Allena Nelson and husband M. C. of Greenwood; son-in-law, Patrick Travers of Baku, Azerbaijan; granddaughter-in-law, Shauna Cox of Greenwood; niece, Tamara Nelson Fultz and husband John of Perryville; and nephew, Marty Nelson and wife Theresa of Greenwood; great nieces Moriah Fultz and Marley Glacgow and great nephews, Luke Fultz and Duke Nelson.

Funeral was 10:00 a.m. on Thursday September 9, 2010 at the Martin Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Sehorn Cemetery at Winfield, Arkansas. John Elmore, Keith Holleman, and Jackie Smith officiated services under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.

Pallbearers were Trenton Cox, Patrick (Trae) Travers, Marty Nelson, Tamara Fultz, Jarred Gillean, and Aaron Gillean.
