Services will be held in California Wednesday for a former East Liverpool resident who was killed in a tractor - trailer mishap last Thursday at 11:15 p.m. near Bakersfield, Calif. James Leroy Allison, 33, of 5629 Blackthorne St., Lakewood, Calif., driver, was thrown from his truck and killed while trying to avoid a collision with a small pickup vehicle that had pulled onto the freeway from a side ramp, officials said. Mr. Allison was born in East Liverpool, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Allison of 2248 Lisbon St. He moved to California in 1961. Besides his widow, Mrs. Loreen Lovelace Allison, survivors include a son, Ronald James Allison, at home; a brother, Ennis (Joe) Allison of East Liverpool; three sisters, Mrs. Al (Shirley) Green of East Liverpool, Mrs. Donald (Betty) Glynn of Salem and Mrs. Daniel (Cecilia) Owens of Augsburg, Germany. The rites will be conducted Wednesday morning at Forest Lawn Chapel in Cypress, Calif. Burial will follow.
