Mrs. Clara Kitchin Cooper, 57, wife of Darrell D. Cooper, died Wednesday afternoon at the family residence, 3312 Brook Drive, following an extended illness. She was graduated from Milroy High School. Mrs. Cooper came to Muncie about forty years ago. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving beside her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Dale D. (Barbara) Pew; a son, Stephen Lee Cooper; four sisters, Ruth Kitchin, Mary Kitchen, Robert (Ruby) Kinnett, and Maurice (Marcia) Cowan; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Friday with Dr. Lewis Weber Gishler, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
