Catherine Mary Brink, 67, Wonder lake, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. She was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Woodstock, to Linus and Phyllis (Haut) Wegner. She married Allen Brink March 8, 1980 in Woodstock. She was a resident of Wonder Lake for more than 25 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in McHenry. She enjoyed gardening and doing yard-work with her husband, woodworking and assisting in the library at St. Patricks Church. She worked many years for the Northern Illinois Medical Center Auxillary, volunteering and assisting the director of volunteer services with clerical duties. She later served as president of the auxilliary. She also worked at the McHenry County Credit Bureau.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Debra (John) Kendall, Woodstock, Jodi(Andy) Hedgecock, China Grove, N.C., and Tracy LaCaria, Waxhaw, N.C.; three sons, Jeff (Sandy) Brink of Mississippi, David Brink, Jacksonville and Gary (Laura) Brink, Richmond; 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley Roath. Visitation was Oct. 3, at Justen's Wonder Lake Funeral Home, Wonder Lake. The funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 4, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, McHenry, with the Rev. Joseph Naill officiating. Inurnment was in St. Patrick Countryside Cemetery.
