New Lexington-Philip T. Cox, 62, of 114 West Jefferson street, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday(September 22) after suffering a heart attack at a funeral home in Lancaster where he had gone ro view the body of his brother, Stanley Cox, who also died after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Cox was born May 13, 1903 in Lancaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Cox. He was employedat Ludowici-Celadon company in New Lexington.

Surviving are his wife, Jessie Cox of the home; stepdaughter, Miss Paulette Hite of the home, Mrs. Sharon Wolfe of New Lexington and Bobbe Grasspoole of Thurston,near Lancaster; two stepsons, Roger Hite of Thornville and Leroy Wiseman of Thurston; four step-grandchildren and a brother, Dewey Cox of Bremen.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chute-Belford-Wiley funeral home at New Lexington with the Rev. L.J. Rhodeback officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington cemetery.
