Erna Abercrombie
Erna E. Abercrombie, 78, 922 Country Club Road, a member of the Hood River Saddle Club, died July 2 at Hood River Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1905, at Emmett, Idaho, to Rhienhart and Emma Puschmann. She and James Abercrombie were married in Emmett on April 9, 1924. They moved to Eastern Oregon in 1929 and lived there until moving to Hood River in 1943.
Survivors include: her husband James of Hood River; daughters Laura Young of Hood River and Jean Neff of Washington; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today, Wednesday, 3 p.m., at Mt. View Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Mears officiating. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests that those who would like to donate in her name give to the American Cancer Society, Hood River Branch, U.S. National Bank of Oregon, P.O. Box 60, Hood River, Ore. 97031.
