Mrs. Wergan
Mary Wergan, a native of Poland and former Stockton resident, died Thursday in a Fremont hospital as the result of injuries received in a fall in a convalescent hospital.
She was 90.
The exact cause of death is pending an Alameda County Coroner's report.
Mrs. Wergan, who moved to Fremont about 10 years ago to live with a daughter, Mabel Messerschmidt, came to Stockton from Chicago in 1948.
She was a member of Church of the Presentation.
Survivors in addition to her daughter in Fremont include a daughter, Florence Bingham of Stockton, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services are planned.
Contributions may be made to Children's Hospital in San Francisco.

Mary stayed in Poland for 5 years
after Alexander went to the U.S. She stayed with her mother. She had some sisters & a brother. She lost touch with them in Poland when she came to the U.S.
