KATHERINE BELLE MERCER 1926 - 2010 Passed on August 24, 2010. A women of solitude, dignity, and compassion known as "Kitty" to many friends and associates, she was the loving and beloved "Auntie" to 16 nephews and nieces and their children. Kitty spent many productive vocational years as an administrative and financial manager with successful tenures at International Apple Growers Association, Air Traffic Control Association, Sleepy Hollow Nursing Home, and INOVA Fairfax Hospital. Interment was held at Catlett Cemetery on August 26, 2010.

From Jehoash Presbyterian Church records where she was a lifelong member and which was recently highlighted at Homecoming by the pastor in writing in the bulletin:
Fifth child of Charles Mercer and Susie Robinson Mercer. Siblings: Inez, Mable, Charles, and Harrison who all predeceased her.
Baptized by Rev. Crabtree (church founder) at Jehoash Presbyterian Church on November 22, 1931. Lifelong member and supporter of the church who visited frequently although she lived in or near Washington, D.C. for many years.
She took care of several relatives including her mother. All loved her for her kindness, graciousness and beauty of character.
